Terrance Dicks (born 10 May 1935) is an English writer notable for being the longest-serving script editor on Doctor Who, with a tenure spanning from 1968 to 1974. Following his departure from the series, he continued to contribute scripts to the program and has since authored a large number of Doctor Who novelisations, reference books and original fiction.
